Frequently Asked Question

  • What can I do to improve the images of my ultrasound?

WATER - Is the best answer , how to improve your ultrasound images. You should be drinking plenty of water beginning at least 30 minutes, before your scheduled appointment. Water can improve the quality of an ultrasound.

  • What is essential for the best images?

Adequate fluid around the baby, fetal movement (not just those strong jabs with body parts), and fat on the baby body are the prerequisites to obtain the optimum scans.

  • Does this replaces an Ultrasound at my doctor's office ?

ABSOLUTELY NOT- Women seeking a prenatal Ultrasound with Meet Your Baby, may already be receiving treatment with a health care provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic Ultrasound , ordered by their health care provider to confirm their due date, and screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues. During the ultrasound session , we confirm the heart beat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. Please note, that at no time this exam replaces a regular diagnostic Ultrasound.

  • If I am over weight , will I be able to get clear ultrasound images?

If you are overweight you should not be afraid to have a 4D elective ultrasound, however we strongly urge that you wait until after 30 weeks gestation to give the baby time to obtain more fat on their face. If you are over weight you will need to have a VERY high level of amniotic fluid to obtain clear images of the baby. If you drink the recommend amount of water in the weeks leading up to your appointment there is no reason you should not be able to obtain great images.

  • Can I see my baby if I wait greater than 34 weeks?

Yes with appropriate fluid and movement the images and expressions are remarkable. Check my facebook account for examples.

This is the best place for 3D ultrasounds! The first time we went in for a scan, baby was incredibly uncooperative. She gave us a complimentary scan. After the second scan she gave us complimentary pictures because we got some good pictures!
